All the time I see the world going downhill. The earth is truly coming to an end. Someone once said that everything spirals down into disarray. We even see it with radioactive isotopes. If that doesn’t convince you, think about this. The quality of products is going downhill fast. Cereal bars are half the size they used to be. Customer service is much less than it used to be. Work ethic is barely there. Everyone is out there rooting for himself or herself.
I see this sort of change in people too. It’s almost like a character in a book, which changes by the end; though the person I am talking about is the one character who falls to the dark side, enticed by the promises of the Evil One. They begin to lie. They lie so much they believe those lies. They brainwash themselves into living in a false reality. Of course they love you! How could they not? But there are hints of ulterior motives that their subconscious gives. That little change in tone, those fits of anger and rage; those lies you catch them in. Suddenly, they aren’t innocent until proven guilty; they are guilty until proven innocent. You know this, but you are too afraid to tell them because of those fits of anger. What if they hurt you? The thought brings on paranoia for you. You try to hide it, to play their game, avoiding their anger. You bite your tongue when you know they are lying. They accuse you of ruining the relationship. They guilt trip you into believing this lie. Even if you do speak out, they massacre it by telling you that you are judging them.
It all started with one lie from the Evil One.
Love,
Nada Faith
